Wow Jan's Grandad was an absolute lunatic. Was kinda good seeing Jan failing at the start and showing that he isn't this untouchable perfect chef he think he is.

Nice episode, seeing more facets of Jan was interesting to see, his backstory was quite tragic but he didn't seem to hate his grandfather even with how he was treated and now he's carrying on his death will. I get why he's so intense in the kitchen now, doesn't excuse how much of an asshole he is though but that makes his charm i guess.

So Jan can cry when he loses. Okonogi trying to raise his spirits with his poor puns 😭😭 But Jan recovered on his own. Kiriko really tried to help him if he doesn't arrive at the answer.. that's sweet. Okonogi and Jan are already best buddies. I'm glad that Akiyama has someone to share his feelings. MUZI JU ANCHUN looked so tasty. Jan's old man just appears for a few seconds but in this episode he left a huge impact with his death. The man lived by fire and died by it. Jan carries the Akiyama Will to defeat the Gobanchos at all costs.
